If you watch the PGA tournaments, you may have noticed a familiar “S” logo donning the polo of one of the most talented professional golfers on the PGA tour.

Yes, that was Stream Logistics’ logo you saw at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament on professional golfer Matt Jones as he drove, chipped, and putted his way up the leaderboard.

Stream Logistics has been a proud sponsor of Matt not only for his natural talents on the course, but the values he holds as a person — family-oriented, hard-working and high integrity – three characteristics that Stream Logistics Company believes firmly in.

Australian-born, Matt has planted his roots in Arizona since early 2001. He attended Arizona State University, like Co-Owner Carson Holmquist and many members of the Stream Logistics Team. But interestingly enough, Matt’s connection to Stream Logistics is through Co-Founder Chad Patton.

Matt and Chad (who turned pro in his early 20’s long before co-founding Stream Logistics) met through a chance encounter in 2008 at a golfers’ vendor dinner in Charlotte, NC, and an immediate friendship was born.

Their friendship expanded over the years, and their paths crossed constantly here in the Valley. Chad says he was even partially responsible for introducing Matt to his now wife, Melissa. “I always remind him that he definitely out-punted his coverage with her”, Chad said laughingly. “She is the perfect compliment to Matt and I couldn’t be happier for them and their family”.

Knowing the game so well, Chad has even caddied for Matt several times as Matt’s career flourished on the PGA Tour. “One of my favorite memories was having the opportunity to caddy for Matt during the 2013 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY. I think I was more nervous than he was on the 1st tee shot”, said Chad with a wry smile.

Last year, as Chad and Matt were talking about the game and some of Matt’s sponsors, “You know, a Stream Logistics logo would look really good on that shirt,” Chad pointed out.

Matt agreed and loved the idea of aligning himself with Stream, which constantly puts its values and beliefs at the forefront of everything they do. In no time at all, a partnership was formed and Stream Logistics became one of Matt’s sponsors for the 2017-2018 season.

The sponsorship is in alignment on so many levels. Not only does Stream Logistics get to collaborate with one of the top 125 golf players in the world, but both parties are constantly working towards excellence both on and off the golf course.
