Reynaers presents us with two primary points of complexity: the fragile nature of their products, and construction job site delivery constraints.

Since their freight contain glass, each Reynaers solution must factor in product safety. Our approach to mitigating damages includes 3 strategies: choosing a quality carrier, selecting the proper trailer type, and properly securing the freight. Each strategy is valuable on its own, but the best results are obtained through a coalescence of all three strategies. Average glass shippers can experience freight damage claims ratios well over 10%; With our approach to product safety, Reynaers has enjoyed a claims ratio below 1%, which translates to negligible installation delays, happier customers, and a cleaner supply chain.

With each freight shipping solution being a custom endeavor, and every construction delivery site facing its own particular set of constraints, our partnership presents new and exciting challenges every day to keep us evolving. The majority of Reynaers’ shipments are delivered to multi-million dollar custom homes in residential neighborhoods, which creates size limitations on which trailers we can use to haul the freight. Even Reynaers’ commercial job sites are marked with unique obstacles. Each shipment requires research on the delivery parameters, which is paired with a custom transportation solution to fit the needs of the particular job site.

A typical shipping location with more uniform requirements typically requires1-3 different trailer types to accommodate their needs. With Reynaers, we must be more adaptive. So far, we have coordinated shipments with 14 different trailer types, perfectly tailoring the trailer to the specific needs of their supply chain.
