Stream Logistics General Manager Jonathan Leatham Phoenix Children's Hospital Check 2018What do a high stakes freight logistics company and a beloved local hospital have in common? They are both committed to excellence and deepening their impact in the community.

For more than three years, Stream Logistics, a transportation company in Phoenix, has donated to Phoenix Children’s Hospital through its participation in the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Telethon and Radiothon.

Every spring, ABC15’s Sonoran Living invites Stream Logistics into their studio to discuss Stream Logistics’ donation and involvement with the hospital.  The goal is to raise money for the PCH Foundation, which directly impacts care, critical programs, and services provided to patients and families.

Stream Logistics began involvement in January 2015. The leaders decided to partner with the PCH Foundation due to their unwavering dedication to the most vulnerable members of our community – children. The funds raised through the PCH Foundation support non-medical initiatives such as a school, therapy dogs, arts and crafts, and entertainment. These valuable services help give kids an escape from their conditions and a sense of normalcy.

“PCH has a reputation for one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation. As a parent, I am grateful to live in a community with this amazing resource,” said Co-Owner Carson Holmquist.

Stream Logistics’ spring 2018 donation totaled $10,000. Over the course of three years, they have donated over $46,000.

“How lucky are we to have Phoenix Children’s Hospital here in the Valley?” asked Jonathan Leatham, general manager of Stream Logistics, marveling at how the hospital has benefitted the community over the years – and honoring the number of lives it has touched. “It’s not only the patients who have been transformed because of PCH, it’s also anyone who loves those patients.”

The widespread, long-term impact of Phoenix Children’s Hospital is similar to how Stream Logistics thinks about its transportation clients and shipping business partners.

“It’s about the ripple effect,” Leatham said. “We want to have a big impact with our shipping clients, but it’s bigger than that. When we solve a shipping problem they’re experiencing, we help them strengthen their business relationships. Thinking even bigger, we help to positively impact everyone who will benefit from the transport shipments we coordinate.”

Stream Logistics plans to continue its support of PCH through KTAR’s Radiothon this fall. To ensure every team member understands the impact of their contribution, they have scheduled a hospital tour in May.
